Succoh on Shemini Atzeres was created by SBS
What is the German Minhag regarding eating in the succho on Shemini Atzeres? I have heard different things such as:
Kiddush and mezonos only by day but a full meal at night.
It would seem that the most logical would be to eat night and day meals in the succoh.

The Maharil says that all se'udos were eaten in the Sukkoh, in the night and in the day (but without a Brocho), and only sleeping was not done in the Sukkoh. This was the general minhag in Ashkenaz.
The Poskim mention that the Dreyfus family used to eat in the day only in the Sukkoh, but this was not the regular minhag. R' Nosson Adler slept in the Sukkoh, but his Talmidim didn't follow his footsteps in this, as he himself told his Talmidim not to follow his minhogim.
There were some who ate only the night meal in the Sukkoh, and in the morning they had one portion and immediately went home to continue the meal, this minhag is brought by the יוסף אומץ and ר' יוזפא שמש and both didn't encourage this minhag.
