Tefillin Shel Yad was created by rallisw
I don't know if it was the case in regard to Tefillin in Europe, but nowadays, tefillin shel yad come with a cover for the box with a circular hole at the top and a cut out for the tefillin's knot. According to our mesouroh may one wear one's tefillin with the box cover, or does it pose a possible chatzitzoh or maybe a deviation from our Mesouroh?

This is a relatively new thing, but there is no reason it should be a problem according to Poskei Ashkenaz.
