While I was in London someone mentioned to me that there is a Yekkish minhog of putting the Kinous used on Tisho B'Av, afterward into Shaymous since one, G-d willing, will not need them next year. Is anyone familiar with this minhog?

Some individuals (in many different עדות, not only Yekkies) had that minhag.
