Drasha After Uvenucho Yomar

When a drasha in shul follows putting away the sefer torah, should the chazan leave the last pasuk of Uvenucho Yomar for right before kaddish or go into the kaddish immediately after the drasha is over? What is the proper procedure? I assume best to have the drasha after musaf to avoid this problem.

In our schul, in manchester, when there was a bar mizva, the sepher toroh was put back after mevorchin hachodesch. After Uvenucho Yomar, the Rov spoke, followed by aschrei and kadisch. the rov told me then that this is the pesak of the shulchon oruch, although i did not look into it.
If I find out more, I shall notify you.
