Who gives the wine to the kalloh during the chupoh?

I saw that the minhog is that the kiddushin cup of wine, his mother gives; and the nissuin cup, the chosson gives.

And is there a hiddur to make the kiddushin and nissuin with a silver kos, as with kiddush? Or is the minhog with a glass, which is broken afterward?

Thanks.

Both cups are Taken by the Shamesh from the Rov, and given to the Chosson, then taken again by the Shamesh and passed on to the mother of the Kalloh who gives them to the Kalloh.

The Minhag was to use a glass cup and not a silver cup. For a בתולה a narrow cup, and for an אלמנה or גרושה a wide cup.

What is the significance of a wide cup or narrow one?

The reason is so there will be many Eidim (because of this narrow cup) that the woman is a Besuloh. See Mishno in Ksubos Daf טו Omud ב
