Highback Menorah was created by Daniel
This Menorah has been in our family for at least two hundred years (we estimate that it is from the late 1700's). I would like to know: were 'high back' Menorah's the accepted norm in Germany? I assume that people did not light in the window (and certainly not outside like in Israel). Today, when most people light in a window for the public to observe, is there anything incorrect to use a 'high back' Menorah or is there some reason to specifically use them?
Thanks!

Daniel

Some people lit in the house, and some by the window. Some used a highback menoroh, and some didn't. There wasn't one style, and therefore one can not say that only one way is the authentic Ashkenaz menoroh style.
