Is the Minhag to specifically not recite Shalom Aleichem in the room were one eats and to instead say it in the living room? What would the reason for this be?

Sholoum Aleichem should be said in the room one eats and not in a different room, because the angels bless the person when they see his table set properly for Shabbos.
