Sidour Cha'are Tefila and Alsatian nusach נוצר על ידי AKohl
I've obtained a new edition (2013) of "Sidour Cha'are Tefila" (a.k.a the "Bloch Tefila"), what I understand to be the standard Alsatian siddur. Looking through it, it seems to be practically indistinguisable from the "standard" Ashkenaz nusach, as opposed to Ashkenaz muvhak, as described here FRBSH and related sources. I'm wondering why that is.

1. Was the Alsatian nusach always significantly different (or at least for the past three centuries)?
2. Did either Rabbi Bloch (1924) or the new editors specifically decide to use a nusach that more people would be familiar with?

(I don't have older editions of this siddur to compare.)

Like many Western Ashkenazi siddurim of the time, the original edition was based on the nusach in the Rödelheim Siddur. As such, while it is theoretically closer to Minhag Ashkenaz, it still contains many variant nuscha'aus, such "vilamalshinim" instead of "lam'shumodim" and "v'yanuchu vah" instead of "v'yismechu v'cho".

Sigh. Our Avot made it difficult for us to follow Masoret Avot, didn't they?
