Shir Shel Yom was created by SBS
I davened in a schul that followed Nusach Hamburg. Shir Shel Yom was said after Mizmor Shir Chanukahs Habais. Is that the accepted minhag according to Minhag Ashkenaz?

Also, the Shir Shel Yom on schabbos was said at mincha as well. Is this specific to Minhag Hamburg or is this practiced elsewhere?

The most common minhag according to Minhag Ashkenaz is to say the Shir Shel Yom after Oleinu, but there are different minhogim as far as where to say it, because the minhag of saying Shir Shel Yom is not an old minhag (around 400 years only).

The minhag of saying Mizmor Shir Leyom Hashabbos in Mincho of Shabbos was a Portuguese minhag, and it got to the Ashkenazi community of Hamburg from the big Portuguese community that was there. Later on this minhag spread to other communities who follow Minhag Hamburg (like many of the English shuls). In some places there is a special melody for this (like North London Adas and other places).
