Shmone Esrei, Yehi Ratzon was created by Daniel
At the end of Shmone Esrei, after one takes three steps back, there is a Yehi Ratzon. The original part I assume is recited by everybody, but what about the last two lines? They appear in different size fonts in some of the older Sidurim and are not at all in others. All "standard" Sidurim today seem to have all of the lines.

In the old Siddurim these lines did not appear. In the past 200-300 years the minhag of say it became widely spread, and it would be considered a minhag tov that was accepted by Yisroel (therefore one should say it and not skip it). The same thing applies to the psukim at the end of Birkas Hamozoun. In the past only Yiru and Kfirim were said, and in the past 200-300 years also Houdu Pouse'ach na'ar hoyisi and Hashem Oz were added. Today it's considered a minhag tov and should be said.
