Kaddish After Oleinu was created by rallisw
Is there a kaddish recited after Oleinu even though quite a few poskim take issue with this custom?

Minhag Frankfurt (and Worms) was not to say Kaddish after Oleinu. In the past, this was the minhag practiced by everyone, and the Ari z"l and the Gr"o were very against adding a Kaddish after Oleinu.
The reason for this is because Oleinu is a praise to Hashem and not a psalm, and Kaddish Yosom is said after psalms.

The same thing for Ma'ariv, since Oleinu is not a psalm, Kaddish is not said after it. For that reason usually we don't have a Kaddish Yosom in Ma'ariv at all on weekdays. We do say Tehillim occasionally after Ma'ariv, and then we have a Kaddish.
