3) WE NEED YOUR INPUT FOR SIDDUR TEFILLAS YESHURUN
The first edition of Siddur Tefillas Yeshurun sold out and a second edition is being arranged for print. Many errors that appeared in the first edition are being fixed, and much toil is being put in to this second edition.
Siddur Tefillas Yeshurun follows Minhag Ashkenaz and reverted back to the nuscho’ous which existed before the innovations which came into the Siddur by the Censor and the Maskilim (Satanov etc.).
In the first edition of Tefillas Yeshurun there was an attempt to give 2 different options to the Mispallel:
1. Nusach Yoshon (NY) - which was the old Nusach in FF’aM a few hundred years ago.
2. Nusach Mekubal (NM) - the Nusach used in the recent years in FF’aM, including any change that was done to the Siddur which has a source in the Poskim (even if not in the Frankfurter Poskim).
For example - Melech Mehulol Batishbochous (NM), or Melech Mehulol Batushbochous (NY).
Since people complained it is complicated to use a Siddur with 2 different Nuscho'ous in it, in the 2nd edition there will be only one Nusach in the Siddur, and the other Nusach will be printed at the bottom.
Rabbi Hofmeister of Vienna, the head of the project, was thinking of printing both options (some hundred Siddurim one way, and some the other way), and we wanted to ask you, our dear readers: which of the 2 options would you like to see in the Siddur, and which should be printed at the bottom, so we can pass on the data.
