In minhag Ashk. does the individual say 'emes' after krias shema?

He says "Emes" (from "Emes Veyatziv" or "Emes Ve'emunoh"), and when the Chazzan says out loud "Emes" he continues "Veyatziv" or "Ve'emunoh".
