What is the Minhag concerning one who gets an aliyah? Should he close the Torah while reciting the brachos, or leave it open? If he should leave it open should he look out? If he should look out to which direction - right or left?

While saying the Brocho before the Aliyoh he opens the Sefer and looks out of the Sefer Torah. And after the Aliyoh he closes the Sefer Torah. There are different minhogim concerning covering the Sefer Torah - some cover just after the end of the leining, some cover after the Brocho and some don't cover at all.
