Paroches - direction of opening was created by Daniel
Should the Paroches open left to right, right to left, or is there no preference? Would it be possible to get sources on this (assuming that it's an issue)? How does the paroches in KAYJ open? How about the one in KAJ WH? Other Yekke shuls?

In most Kehillos the Paroches opens from right to left. This is the Minhag in KAYJ too.

To open the Ark at Hotzo'oh, one stands to the left of the Ark, and pulls the rope (which opens the Paroches to the left). To close the Ark, one stands to the right of the Ark, and pulls the rope (which pulls the Paroches to the right and closes it).
We have evidence that this was done in FFAM too, (see memories of Henry Zimmer).
