Matzah before pesech was created by Israel
Is there a set number of days before pesach in which minhag Frankfurt does not eat Matzah? A Week, a month, from Purim?

I asked Rav Hamburger, and he said that most of Bnei Ashkenaz refrained from eating Matzos from Rosh Chodesh Nisson, and some already from Purim.

In the Achronim, from the Kneses Hagedoloh and on, the Minhag not to eat Matzos from Rosh Chodesh is brought. In the very late Achronim (just before our time), you can also find the Minhag not to eat Matzos from Purim.

My grandmother's family, which was from the Austro-Hungarian Empire had a custom to not eat any of the ingredients of charoses on Erev Pesach.
Does anyone else have such a custom?

Rav Hamburger told me that according to the Gr'o who holds that there is a Mitzvoh to eat Charoses alone after Korech, some are Noheg not to eat Charoses on Erev Pesach. But he never heard of a Minhag not to eat the ingredients of the Charoses.
